The second soil moisture probe network has been successfully installed at Rametsi Game Lodge near Swartruggens on March 15.





Today is our final day of the SALDi kick-off. After a fruitful meeting with interesting discussions and many new project ideas, we today wrap up the last three days within our SALDi research group.


Today we picked up the remaining five soil moisture probe units from the SANParks Head Office in Pretoria. Thanks again to Dr. Ramoelo for receiving and taking care of our equipment.

During the next 3 days, the SALDi team is meeting for the kick-off of the project at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) in Pretoria.


On 08.03.2019 we revisited the first soil moisture probe network in the Kruger Park to check its functionality as well as cover the central unit with sand and stones.





Today we went to the eddy covariance flux tower in Agincourt for vegetation analysis, covering approx. 0.6 km².






The SALDi Team has sucessfully installed the first soil moisture probe network inside Kruger National Park. The location is close to an enclosure south of Lower Sabie.
